Emergency lights, exit signs and panic doors are some of the most important safety devices in your business. While fire alarm systems warn us of the problems and fire sprinklers put out the fires, our exit emergency lights are designed to guide us to safety in the event of fire or power outage. These devices are specifically designed to save lives.

Academy Fire Protection offers national life safety programs in accordance with NFPA Life Safety Code 101. We can inspect and service the exit emergency lighting and exit panic alarm devices at each location independent of, or bundled with, the annual fire extinguisher maintenance program.

NFPA Life Safety Code 101 states “A functional test shall be conducted on every required emergency lighting system at 30-day intervals for not less than 30 seconds. An annual test shall be conducted on every required battery-powered emergency lighting system for no less than 90 minutes.”
